All the republican candidates are talking about prices at the pump .. And I get that, how will I get to visit my grandmother up in Wisconsin from North Carolina at $4 a gallon .. $800 later is it really worth it? Maybe every other year instead of annually. For most people who fill their 20 gallon tank every other week, it went from $80 to $160 a month, While this is a burden, most of our Iphones cost $80 a month, most Cable plans including your home phone and internet near $100 a month, so giving me my freedom for another $80 isn’t so bad.
But what IS bad, is how the gas prices have effected transportation costs for everything. Beginning with every farmer, whether a local fresh market or a large scale crop farmer, gas prices will force the cost of food to go up. Go into our grocery store and I’m sure everyone has noticed the cost of vegetables, meets, milk, bread, cereal and about every other product. Farmers needs seed and fertilizer and who delivered them to the local supply or to the farm? Prices went up on their delivery of goods/products too. Everything related to food has increased. Everything related to transportation has increased! Its not just me going to get gas and how that is reflecting my pocket book. Its everything I eat too! And chance are everything in the hardware store is the same way, the lumberyard, tractors and machinery to operate usually require gas or diesel.
Lets not forget transporting are kids to school and the same time our left viewed representatives would like to bus kids all across town to diversify. Open enrollment without the option for busing .. And who’s going to drive 2 hours to the closest outlet, sorry retailers gas prices effect you too! Ultimately effecting me/us personally.
I think you get it .. its not just my tank of gas that reflects the high gas prices, its almost everything we touch, eat, smell or even see. It seems president Obama is somewhat simple minded and believes if we get a tune up and make sure our tires are inflated correctly then we wouldn’t use as much gas. Hhmm … really? really?? Watch Here
One other thing, a few years back our multi billionaire Warren Buffet didn’t speak out for the new pipeline from Canada which would help reduce cost, why? Oh ya he purchased a railroad which just happens to transport oil. hhmm? Lobbyist or not he sure didn’t lobby for it! Thanks Warren!
