1. Vote this year, for the republican of your choice, and then vote again later this year, to elect a new president. President Obama’s health care and regulations have increased our nations debt to more than 15 trillion! He alone has spent more than the last 5 presidents combined! Almost 5 Trillion he personally has spent since he’s taken office.
2. The Blackout! Senate 968 “Protect IP Act” (PIPA) and H.R. 3261 “Stop Online Piracy Act” (SOPA). STOPPED in its tracks due to a few large online companies, thanks WIKI and Google.
3. Earmarks and Pork Barrel Spending. Pork barrel refers to appropriation of government spending for localized projects secured solely or primarily to bring money to a representative’s district. Sometimes they bribe the Senators or Representative to vote for a specific bill and if they do, then they’ll get something in return. Unlimited Medicaid, Hundreds of thousands of dollars, Millions of dollars to study the breeding habits of a wood chuck (1.2 million), Preserve a sewer in NJ, as historic monument. Seriously!?? 4. Lobbyists .. uhg. I’m in the pharma industry (10 years), and prior to me entering the field, there did seem to be a lot of spending outside of the normal sales/client relationship. Prior to the Pharma industry, taking customers out for lunch, dinner or playing a game of golf with a potential customer was and still is the norm. Unfortunately in the pharma field playing golf fell into the pro quid pro concern. For most of pharma we take the request seriously and no more fishing or hunting outings. No more taking the doctors out for lunch or dinner. For people like me, its fine, I’m a family guy. BUT .. while the pharma industry has a sales force and is limited on 2 minute conversations and maybe lunch for the entire office and a dinner program you can invite the dr. to listen to specialists is ok with me, why is ok that the political lobbyist wine and dine our Senators and representatives who create regulations and laws in our country that affect each and every one of us. I bet the lobbyists (Sales People) have ulterior motives than whats good for the whole country. They are trying to skew our states representatives vote, right or wrong and while I don’t agree with the Occupy movement, this is true concern, big money motivates politicians to help big money. Like the restriction they put on the pharma industry, they also need to put on our lobbyists. Unfortunately none of the politicians in office or running for office want to make any of their lobbyists friends mad .. This will always be a problem, our lobbyists! They are in control, not our representatives.
